Five Pillars of Islam
- Arabic Alphabet & Basic Pronunciation: This course offers an in-depth exploration of the Five Pillars of Islam, which are the foundation of a Muslim’s faith and practice. These pillars are not merely rituals, but are actions that embody the spirit of worship and obedience to Allah. Students will learn about the significance, historical context, and practical application of the Shahada (declaration of faith), Salah (prayer), Zakat (almsgiving), Sawm (fasting during Ramadan), and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). By understanding these pillars, students will be able to integrate these practices into their daily lives, strengthening their faith and connection to the Muslim community. Arabic alphabet with proper pronunciation, greetings, introductions, and basic vocabulary for everyday situations (numbers, family, food).
The Prophets’ Stories
- This course delves into the lives and teachings of the Prophets in Islam, from Adam to Muhammad (peace be upon them all). Students will explore the significant events and moral lessons from the lives of these profound individuals as portrayed in the Quran and Hadith. Each session focuses on different prophets, discussing their trials, triumphs, and the universal lessons that can be drawn from their lives. This course aims to inspire students through exemplary lives of patience, perseverance, faith, and devotion, providing a deeper understanding of Islamic history and theology.
Learning Islamic Manners
- Islamic manners and etiquette, known as Adab, play a crucial role in the life of every Muslim. This course covers the principles of Islamic manners which are fundamental in interactions within family, community, and even with oneself. Topics include the etiquette of eating, dressing, greeting, visiting the sick, and conducting business transactions. The course also addresses the spiritual aspects that underpin these manners, such as humility, patience, and respect. Students will emerge from the course with a practical guide to living a life that reflects the beauty and depth of Islamic conduct.
Daily Islamic Supplications (Duaa)
Supplication is a form of prayer, an intimate conversation between a believer and Allah. This course provides a comprehensive guide to daily supplications (duaas) that cover various aspects of everyday life—from waking up in the morning to going to sleep at night, from seeking protection against evils to expressing gratitude for blessings. Each class explores the significance, timings, and conditions of these supplications, many of which were taught by Prophet Muhammad himself. Students will learn to incorporate these duaas into their daily routines, enriching their spiritual lives and fortifying their reliance on Allah.
Ahadith Qudsi
Ahadith Qudsi are a special category of hadiths wherein the Prophet Muhammad conveys words directly from Allah, distinct from the Quranic revelation. Each session will explore various Ahadith Qudsi, discussing their meanings, implications, and applications in daily life.
